Global Angels is a charity that provides the world's most disadvantaged and vulnerable children with innovative sustainable solutions in their communities, helping them adapt to and develop within their changing climate.
One of the projects in development is in Kenya, where certain areas have been through the most severe drought of the last 40 years. Up to 10 million people have been on the verge of starvation and don't have access to clean, drinking water.
Global Angels is funding projects to build and refurbish water wells in the area, providing safe drinking water to thousands of children and their communities. In 2009 they provided water to 108,000 people in Kenya.
Yet, millions more are still needing safe water.
