Tim and FCP have decided to sponsor Bear's trip to fundraise for charity Global Angels, and to highlight the effects of global warming - to understand the extent of it, just bear in mind that the Northwest Passage was not crossable just a few decades ago.

Future Capital is driving a UK bio-ethanol plant development and alternative investment vehicle called Future Fuels, and this trip was a way of bringing attention to the role the finance sector can play in developing renewable energy alternatives to lower carbon footprints.

Future Fuels - The potential of renewable energy

Future Fuels is a partnership established by Future Capital Partners to fund the building of a bio-refinery plant in the North of England. This facility will produce 200m litres of Renewable Transport Fuel and 175,000 tonnes of high protein animal feed, delivering carbon savings in excess of 50 per cent when compared to use of oil in transport fuels - the equivalent of taking over 60,000 cars off the road every year.
