During the sea trials and the expedition itself we are part-powering the RIB by bioethanol, in a pursuit to show that bioethanol is an entirely viable fuel for the future sustainability of our fragile planet.
The hope for the expedition is to bring attention to the effect
of global warming on the Arctic Ocean, and the knock-on effect that
this will have on much of the world today. In addition we aim to
promote the case for bioethanol as a sustainable future fuel.
All methods of travel used by the team, and resulting carbon
emissions have also been fully offset - from the car used to tow
the boat, through to the flights to Canada.
