expedition manager / rib delivery team
Born June 1982, John Coffey has been packed in many expeditions and sailing events in his few years, from teenage years organising his College Team Racing team, to logistics and Boat Captain for an Irish Olympic team at Athens 2004.
A keen business man and International adventurer, John has been able to combine the two and travel to all seven continents over the last 4 years.
Having met Bear Grylls at the start of 2009, John was initially involved in the project management of the RIB build, but was swiftly appointment expedition manager by Bear thanks to John's keen eye for detail and dogged work ethic.
Never seen without his Blackberry, John is always looking for his next business opportunity or adventure.
John will not be joining the team on the RIB during the trip,
but will be following the journey from close, taking care of all
the logistics. He will also deliver the boat from Clyde River to
its staring point in Pond Inlet, and collect it afterwards.
