Tim is CEO and founder of Future Capital Partners, main sponsor of this trip. Tim is also a director of, or partner in, several other businesses, notably Future Fuels LLP, a company established to develop and exploit alternative fuel sources, and Novia PLC, a provider of technology driven administrative solutions to the Financial Services community.
Tim has originated and executed over £6 billion of structured finance transactions whilst leading the Future Group of companies. He is also a director of the Aramid Entertainment Fund (and its technical advisor, Aramid Capital Partners), a trade finance company specialising in loans to the Entertainment sector that has $300m under Management.
Tim has been involved in the structured finance business since 1997, prior to which he was an insurance broker specialising in Natural Catastrophe risks.
Tim is always keen on new adventures, and not only when it comes to business. In 2008 he sponsored Bear Grylls to travel to Antarctica and climb one of the most remote un-climbed peaks in the world, raising money for charity while promoting the use of alternative, renewable energy sources.
It has been Tim's dream for a long time to travel to the North Pole (and play with polar bears!), so this time Tim will be joining Bear Grylls in the adventure - at the helm of the RIB, across the Northwest Passage.
